Lighting is one of the most critical factors in growing healthy, potent cannabis, and over the years, we’ve evolved right alongside the technology. For a long time, we used BlackDog LED grow lights—legendary in their time for their intense output and proven results. The unique… spectrum they produced gave our grow room photos that unmistakable purple glow. While the color made for iconic pictures, it didn’t always capture the true beauty of the plants to the eye. Recently, we switched to AC Infinity full-spectrum LED lights, and the difference is dramatic—not only in the light spectrum, but in the way the grow room feels and looks. With these, our photos now show the plants in natural color, exactly as you’d see them standing in the room. This makes it easier to monitor plant health visually and to share our grow journey without the distortion of purple lighting. Both BlackDog and AC Infinity are full-spectrum LEDs, designed to mimic the wavelengths of natural sunlight. This spectrum includes the deep blues needed for strong vegetative growth, the reds that promote dense flower development, and balanced wavelengths in between to support plant processes from seedling to harvest. The result is healthier plants, better yields, and a more complete cannabinoid and terpene profile. One of the biggest advantages of our current AC Infinity system is control. We can easily adjust light intensity and spectrum throughout the plant’s life cycle—dialing in just the right balance for seedlings, ramping up for vigorous vegetative growth, and shifting emphasis toward red-rich light during flowering. This flexibility allows us to optimize every stage and even fine-tune based on strain-specific needs. For us, the shift wasn’t just about looks—it was about precision. The new setup gives us more control, keeps energy use efficient, and helps our plants thrive under the most natural indoor conditions possible. Whether it’s the deep purple of the old days or the sunlike glow of today, the right light is more than just illumination—it’s the heartbeat of the grow.Read more
